Content Since the Gwangju was designated in UNESCO Media Art Creative City(2014), we will share the main activities and current issues of Gwangju and discuss the future direction of the creative city of Gwangju. The first point of the debate is ‘what direction should the creative cities have under UNESCO's international vision and philosophy?’
In other words, it starts from how to harmonize the objectives of each field such as Craft&Folk Art, Design, Film, Gastronomy, Literature, Media Arts and Music that the creative city seeks to harmonize with UNESCO's international vision and philosophy. In this respect, the current media art creative city ‘Gwangju’ is connected with UNESCO's ‘Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)’, where various stakeholders(artists, scientists, Engineers, policy makers, etc.) look for what role to play. In addition, I would like to gather wisdom on the direction of the creative city of media art by asking how the media art, which connects people and various information in the city, will represent the future city of Gwangju.
